Over the years Care Plus Homecare Services Ltd has grown into an amazing collection of Carers delivering the highest standard of care in their local communities.
We take pride in the fact that the Carers are local, mature, highly trained and always willing to go the extra mile in caring for their clients. Each member of the Care Team undertakes training in Person Centred Care, Confidentiality, Manual Handling, Medication, Safe Guarding, Fire Safety and Health & Safety. These are updated on a regular basis in accordance with CQC guidelines. On-going training takes place in the field in form of supervisions and appraisals completed by Kay Brandrick, director, or Marie Cooper, Care Manager.
Care Plus also out sources specialized training when required for specialized equipment or techniques. Care Plus offers each member of the Care Team a chance to complete QCF Diplomas, which most of the Care Team have either completed or are working towards completion now. Care Plus also outsources distance learning courses, the Care Team have completed or are working towards qualifications in Dementia Care, End of Life Care, Diabetes, and Safe Guarding just to name a few.
New members of the Care Team are subject to a DBS check and must meet Care Plus’ high standards of care. They undertake an intense induction training course involving the above mentioned training courses. Each new member of the Care Team are then required to complete a minimum of 15 hours shadowing a senior member of staff. This allows them to meet the client and learn the routine before going out working on their own.
